New iPods

Did anyone see them yet? The Apple media event was today and there is now a touch screen iPod along with the iPod Classic, Nano and Shuffle.

Yeah, I'm in the market for a new iPod so I'm kinda trying to decide if I should purchase one of these. The things I've been considering are:

• The iPod Classic has the most space for movies and whatnot, so if I wanted to download TV shows and stuff it would definitely be the best option. The price for the 160MB model is great compared to those of previous iPods.
• The iPod Nano looks alright. I think I like the 2nd generation design better, it's the one I picked out anyway. Now that the iPod Nano can play videos, it could be taken into consideration but only comes in 4 and 8GB sizes so it wouldn't hold much.
• The iPod Touch is the best looking iPod that really caught my attention when I first looked at it. The price is a little high, but I really wanted one. Until I saw how much space it had. I mean, 8GB and 16GB for a wide screen iPod? Come on.
• I won't be getting an iPod Shuffle. No screen, 'nuff said.

Ideas?

Yeah, but what if you didn't want a cell phone and didn't want to pay $60 a month to AT&T for horrible service? It's not even available outside the US anyway.

i would go with the ipod classic way more space..............but if u have to have the lagtest and greatest go for the touch it looks extremly cool and no monthly fees,bragging rights i guess..

I'm leaning towards the classic because of all the space.

The Touch has WiFi though, that's pretty cool.

As for the iPhone, it's twice as expensive, holds half the content, and costs AT LEAST $60/month in addition to the outrageous original price.

EDIT - Those prices are in CAD just so everyone knows. It's $300 USD for the Touch.

i guess wifi is good but if you got a computer especially a laptop idt you really need the wifi.....but its better for on the go ive been looking toward this since like last week when they showed them on attack of the show well not showed them but u kno talked about them........................im thinking of getting one i have a zune and the load times are ridiculous!

I like them. 16GB just isn't enough space for me, I want at least 30. I bet the price will go down in time though. I'm not sure I feel safe with a touch screen, seems a bit fragile to me but it does look very cool. It's a cheaper alternative and better value than the iphone. Depending on how much money I have when I go to get an MP3 player, I might get a touch ipod but I'm thinking the classic ipod will be fine for me.
