i have a macbook and i have a buch of disasembled computers with windows 1998 and i have wireless internet so if i put ubuntu on the that computer would i need a specail kind of wireless adatapter because the os is ubuntu or what

Yes you would. Also, I don't think they have drivers for wireless cards (linksys or whatever) that would support ubuntu. I suggest just keeping windows 98?
