Installing Windows 98

hmm ok wierd.
you cant get 98 on a floppy disc, ud need about 100 discs.
you could try using a windows 98 boot disk though, maybe that will sort it out
get one from www.bootdisk.com

Meant boot disk, hehe.

Anyways turns out the problem was a corrupted windows 98 bootdisk. I used that site to make a new one, and as of now the reformatting is going off without a hitch. But man do I miss the nice GUI of a Windows XP install :p.

I actually made a modified win xp bootdisk without the GUI and install is about 10-15 minutes quicker ,

why not just install xp but tweak it?
ive got it running real fast on my old computer and i did install it on my 200mhz 32mb ram pc once and with tweaks it ran ok!
now it wont let me use the mouse as it freezes so i gave up on it

Thats what I had been doing, but it would crash intermittently without notice. The computer was so slow it was almost unusable. It got to the point where it was just ridicolous. I have some new problems, so at this point I'd like to direct you all to my new thread:

Goto bootdisk.com and download a bootdisk from there. Try booting from that and then run the setup from your CD.
