NOTE-
Motherboard can support my Pent 4 chipset. Use previous processor, video card, new ram, new powersupply and case. Keep old CD drives and hard drive.

So pretty much this is my plan for right now. Get the motherboard, case, powersupply, and maybe ram for my birthday. (thats alot to ask for; so i'm not getting my hopes up).

Anyways, then I can use my old hard drive, my cd drivers, and my processor with the new stuff. Then here come Christmas, I ask can for the processor and maybe ram if I didnt get it.

The only thing is that I like that mobo, but I want something cheaper to increase my odds of getting the ram. It still has to be Pentium 4, LGA775, and Core 2 Duo compatible. And I don't want ps/2 inputs, because that way they give you more usb inputs. Also, I would like a SLi compatable one.

No newegg links please.

But what do you guys think about it?

Looks good , thats pretty mcuh what i am doing as well , i got a new Mobo cpu and ram the other day , next i am getting a new case which is being delivered tomorrow , after that i am getting a new PSU and vid card , A TFT for x MAs and finally in late jan / early feb some new hard drives , maybe even a combo of raptor and seagate baracuda
I am waiting for crysis to come out before getting a vid card to see what everyone thinks and what card i will need to run the game at medium

just some features really, probably the amount of SATA ports, might not have RAID 5 but your not going to use that. Probably simmilar OCing options, maybe a little less.

its like a budget 680i, great IMO, unless your some extreme tweaker, which i know your not, than the 680i is just overkill, thats just my opinion though.

really good motherboard, same thing really its just 650i and its 125$, made by Asus

was going to link the evga one but it isnt sli. its even got 2 PATA's for IDE HDD's :D

OH, please no. The failure rate on those boards are high. At work, 1 in five come in DOA, and of the four that make it through build, three will come back with problems.

I don't have the time to find a different one right now, but I can look later.
