laptop question

so ive had my new dell lappy for a few months now. im wanting to beef it up to 4 gigs but they only ship with 34 bit and it only shows like 3 and im also wanting to put ultimate on it. well what im wanting to know is does anyone know if that voids dells warranty? or do you think ill be ok? also when/if i do this all i need to do after installing is to download my video and wifi drivers from dell right?

and ya just install it then your drivers ull be fine

i wouldn't think just adding ram and putting a different operating system on it would void your warranty, but you may want to check with dell for the exact answer.

few more questions. if i do a reformat if something goes wrong can i use my factory re install disk? also i am kinda wanting to put vista lite on it but not sure if it would work on a laptop i also what programs on here should i re download after i do this

after you put the new operating system on it, you will have to reinstall any of those listed programs you are interested in keeping.
