Well, don't I have to have windows in order to play my games. If so, wouldn't that require a hard drive?

No, but it would be a wise idea.

You need to run an operating system from somewhere, CD, network boot server, floppy disk, etc. But it needs to be from somewhere, hard drive is just the most popular option.

Yeah, that is what a network boot server is.

Which would have to be a special server WITH a hard drive. Kinda defys the point for a single computer.
