ubuntu beryl install help

i'm trying to install beryl in Ubuntu and i'm a noob with Linux. I don't know hoe to install anything but most importantly i want to install Beryl. Will my 8600 GT support Beryl??? Can someone give me a walk through!

Yes the 8600 GT will work. If you are using Fiesty then go to your Restricted drivers manager and enable the drivers. Then just simply open your terminal and copy and paste this...

sudo apt-get install beryl beryl-manager emerald-themes

Then you will find beryl in the system tools/

beryl-manager

Also, to play around with your resolution and crap, type in:

sudo nvidia-settings

into console.

I agree. I don't really know how to it it yet so i don't use it, but if i got Beryl to work I would use it more often
