Pretty nice, but I do not think she can use it for gaming or anyhting big. But she will probably use microsopht mostly so..

shes not into her gaming only uni work. watching movies and playing music is probably the most intensive thing that she can manage on a computer

Congrads, thats a great price. You could build me a PC anyday :)

I'd still throw in another 512 of ram though, as anything under 1 gig is pretty slow.

Wow, very nice! I agree with Chris, if you can find another 512 MB stick for as cheap as the last one, it'd be well worth it to pick it up.

Wow , man that ram was cheap as well . if you could get another price for similar price you would be laughing your way all the way to the bank
Personally if you are going away to uni and staying in rented accommodation anyway you are going to want a cheap PC cos if your house or flat gets burgled they wont get away with an expensive system . there has been a lot of that round here cos the theives know the students have expensive computers
Anyhows this build i have here cost me about that as well
Mobo - Free
Cpu- £30
Ram-£10
GPU - Had this lieing around
Case and PSU - £20
HD-from previous build
OPtical drives from previous builds
Spent about £10 on stuff like rounded IDES and case fans etc the little bits and away it went .
Spent £5 on a heatsink , total cos about £75 give or take a few
A few weeks later i got a 17" crt for £8 as well cos my 14" one wasnt doing to well

For know i am planning to put 1GB ram in it to boost its speed
and hopefully getting a new GPU
But that is a great system . Should cope with all the uni work .
The case dosent look too bad either ,
