I only started this thread to make the overseas members aware of the hurricane, we don't get many in the UK so we should be fine here.

You're right of course, but have you noticed how about a week later after these huge storms, we get what the forecasters call the "tail-end" of them, weakened to about 40mph winds but enough to do some structural damage.
