Which do u think is better?

So i was thinkin about a new vieo card upgrade and was lookin for some opinions on which of the two cards is better. Either an ATI Radeon x1950 PRO or a Radeon HD 2600 XT.

The 2600 hd xt is cheaper for one, but im not sure if its better than a x1950 pro.

I wouldn't go with Ati right now. Nvidia has the lead by far right now. It's kinda like comparing AMD and Intel. of course you are gunna go with the intel.

I would look at some nvidia products. Maybe a 8800gts?

Even a 7600gt if you don't want DirectX10.

whoa i cant really afford a 8800 gts or any 8800 line of graphics cards right now...

The Radeon HD 2600 XT is about as fast as Nvidia's 8600GT. I'd recommend it because Nvidia has been pumping out alot more DX10 cards and its probally going to have better driver support.

Yes, I have herd that ATi's drivers are a load of crap for Vista. I often have trouble with them for XP as well. NVidia is crushing ATi as of lately, which also pulls down AMD.

oh, well im runnin on windows xp pro but if u guys think nvidia cards are better right now, which one should i get. i cant really afford a 8800 graphics card right now...

8600GTS might be a good option, cheaper than the 8800 and still supports DX10:
