Using a notebook to control another computer

i have a shitty shitty laptop
p3 128mb of ram
could i hook it up so i could wirelessly play games in my room instead of being on my downstairs pc

In theroy, yes. However due to network speeds and latency, and stuff like that, it will not work very well.

Tried it using CS, was soo bad that I couldn't even play at all.

Yes, but wireless will slow it down. That's a lot of info to send over the connection.

Even if it's on gigabit lan, it will still just be "slow"

yea i wouldnt bother. vnc is great but you'd have to have a super dooper network to stream a game across effectively. sounds like you need a laptop upgrade

yea, when i control my desktop i sometimes forget that its vnc because it is pretty fast. its just id never use it for games

well it got i can use it cuz my laptop laggs a lot when i just have aim and internet open but now i can control all that shit from my laptop on my desktop and all my laptop has to do is play a movie basicly
