I am setting up my pentium 3 as a cd/dvd copier. I have all the hardware already but I don't have a monitor - actually I don't have space for a monitor on my desk. Is there any way I can install software on my p3 and my notebook so that I can use my notebook to control my p3?

Both VNC and Logmein will work well. I use both for different purposes (VNC for unix equipment, logmein for remote PC's behind routers). I have another suggestion if you are running Windows XP PRO or better (Or server 2000). Look into running Remote Desktop, as this is one of the most efficient remote control peices of software on the market IMO.

Logmein can be brutally slow across a LAN in comparasion to other software.

I'll try VNC again. If I can run two more PCs, I could try to run a small 16-way control with 2 PCs. (1 for 3-9, 2 for 10-16). Effiecient for File sharing server and such. Who knows? I could even run a homemade jukebox ;)
