this is why i like my Verizon DSL. they do not limit speeds, or cap usage. all for a very nice price of 30 bucks a month. 3000 megabit downloads (350 kilobytes per second)
They must have a very low tolerance, most ISP give you a limit but what you said is nothing really, I would have told them to shove it and changed my ISP, in your case you cant as its in your parents name.

i have BT broadband, i torrent. its all good. some companies are limiting the bandwidth and stuff, which i think its wrong. it shouldnt be up to the isp's to stop p2p, if the government and companies themselves cant be arsed then it should be allowed
