Urgent help comp crashed during format

Hey, I have a problem with loading my operating system upon start-up. Whenever I turn on the computer, I get a message saying there is an "Verifying DMI Pool Data......"Error loading operating system" with a black screen and just that text. The computer then wont load into anything else, it will just stay at that screen. I would like to know whats wrong and how I could fix it, if anyone could help me.

Were you installing the OS when this happened? Or are you trying to install the OS? Which operating system are you using?

my comp crashed while i was installing xp now it doesnt even go to the cd part to load xp again off the disc

Is it set to boot to CDROM first in the BIOS?

If so, watch for the prompt that says to "Press any key to boot to CDROM".

get an xp disc and boot from cd and reinstall that is all you can do.

and make sure all your boot preferences are set. e.g that it boots from the cd first and also if you have a second harddrive make sure the one you want xp on is set as the primary boot up harddrive

yea it should still boot from the cd, that has nothing to do with it.
check the bios or see if your comp has a boot menu, as my desktop gets a boot menu if you press the "esc" key
