cannot install adobe reader 8

when i try to install adobe reader 8 it does through the file extraction thing then i click run then it says the temp folder is on a drive that is full or inaccessible free up space on the drive or verify that you have write permissions on the temp folder.

Are you installing this as the administrator?

I know this is stating the obvious, but do you have enough space on the HDD your trying to extract it to? Are you getting any error codes? Does it say anything in event viewer?

74GB free on drive c, there is no error code and I don't understand the event viewer

Have a look in the installation folder and try installing it by running the Acroread.msi file instead
