Because he is 5 1/2 weeks old and can't bite yet. Also because he has a very delicate stomach lining still and I do not want to upset it.

Well, I got him from a family that I knew. They didn't want to give him up, and would have given me any other kitten for free, but I loved this one so I gave them 60 bucks, they still did not want to give him away, so I gave 85. I do not regret it a single bit.
