mxing a single 512mb stick with a 1gb stick???

just like the title says, can i mix a 512mb stick of wintec ampo ram with a 1gb stick of patriot extreme performance ram. The cas latency on the wintec ram is 5, and its 4 on the patriot ram. Both rams are ddr2 800, and the patriot is dual channel, but idk if the wintec is, i'm pretty sure it is. The mobo has 4 slots for ram.

So can it be done??
will it do any damage or disable anything?

Of course it can. The only disadvantage is that if your voard has Dual Channel functions, it will be off, due to size of sticks. Nothing to really die.

well of course it needs to go in the ram slots but it dosent matter which one goes in which
