How to delete a certain folder.

Hey fellas,

I ran into some trouble. Using a program called Spin It Again, I created a folder on my desktop.

Then when I checked it later, it turns out that the folder is not a folder after all. I cannot rename it, or delete it. Any file that I place into disappears.

When I try to delete it, I get a message about it being stored on the HDD, but I know the location is Desktop.

Is there any way to delete it?

what os are you using?
i have media centre and i enabled the security tab allowing me to take ownership of random things, comes in handy when i bugger things up

Try this:

Basically you just end explorer.exe, and try to delete it with the command prompt.

it usually helps me when i dont have permisson to delete a folder or something, i can just make me the owner then i have full control. this may not be the problem though, i dunno. to get the security tab it depends what ver of xp you have

First of all, the desktop is even stored on the HDD

It isn't dogey at all. It is certified, and is a great way to record stuff from LP to the computer.
