Sound Problem - Please Help!

Well basically I've got a new computer with windows vista.

I installed the game Call of Duty 1 yesterday and this strange problem occurred:

Since I installed I now don't get any sound from the speakers except for CoD, windows media player and itunes. E.g. no sound from the internet.

This happened on my old computer too and I really don't know what to do. I can only hear sound through headphones so have had to uninstall the game and now the sound works fine.

Can anyone help me?

hi welcome to CF's

vista has a built in volume mixer where u can mute certain programs volume to view this .

right click the sound icon in the bottom right and choose open volume mixer.

when in there adjust the sliders accordingly.
