I installed Ad-Aware on my bf parents computer to help out. I was under the impression that there was some spyware on their computer, due to numerous POP UPS on theie cable internet. So I downloaded a spyware program to get rid of it. After running a throrough scan of the entire system finding 62 items, It said "To catch any thing that has been missed please restart your computer", SO I restarted it and now it only goes to the screen telling you abou the model of system, GB, etc. Says press f2 or f12, to do setup. Anyways, I have no idea why this happened and am very nervous that the hard drive might have been destroyed? ANY IDEAS WHAT WENT WRONG ?????????????????
