Radar Detectors

It's not supercharged. It's all motor and the need for speed. There's a craz here for hot cars and cars that go fast.

I posted this in another car forum, but the other day when I went to Ventura (to check out Patagonia), I saw a Porche GT3, an orange Lamborgini, and get this: I saw a DMC DeLorean!!! Yeah, with Mr. Fusion on top and everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still waiting for my friend to send me the picts because he had a nice shot of all three cars. The GT3 was fast because it was swerving in and out of traffic.

I went 140mph just once and that was it. I'll push 90's once in awhile, but not often. I need to "free" up horsepower buy getting an exhaust system upgrade next.

Can I ask how old you are?

A snooper saved us the other day coming home from work. We had two trucks. My boss was going 90 and the other guy (a guy whoI work with). Started passing us. His snoopr went crazy so he slammed on the brakes. The other guy didnt have one. Sure enough here comes a black unmarked Charger (there are three total two of which are marked sherrifs). The Charger blows past us and pulls over the other guy. He was 20 mph over the speed limit and got off with a warning.

What kind of detector was it? Do you know the brand? The ones I know are Valentine 1 and Escort.

I personally don't speed. I have no reason to. If I had a sports car or something nice then I might do it now and then, but only if the road didn't have traffic (some roads here are like that) and there were no cops. Still, I try to stay within about 5mph of the speed limit.

I will be honest, I will only speed to keep with the flow of traffic, and only a max of 5-7 over the limit. They can pass me all they want, and they are the ones that get the ticket, like yesterday, doing about 2 over, get passed up by an suv probably doing like 10 over and boom pulled over, right after scaring the s*** out of me cuz I thought I was getting pulled over.

Personally I try not to speed...I know how dangerous it is and it scares the hell out of me lol. The only time that I've really gone over the speed limit was responding to a car wreck...I had it at about 90 with the caution lights blinking

But yeah as far as Radar Detectors go I think they are legal in some states, illegal in others...so yeah as everyone else has said it's best not to speed in the first place

The way I see it, you only need a radar detector if you have to hide something from police radar.
