monitor problems

hey guys.

yes, i am new here, but i am really hoping somebody here can help me.

recently, i have noticed lines streaking to the right from almost everything on my new X2gen 19" LCD display. they seem to be getting worse over time. even now, in my games or while watching a movie, i notice red-ish streaks running through my darker textures on the LCD. is there anything i can do to get rid of them?

i am running an AGP GeForce 7950gt 512mb with dual monitors, both connected through VGA to DVI connectors.

i am only seeing the streaking on the LCD, not the secondary (CRT). on the CRT, the VGA cable is built into the monitor, but on the LCD, it is not. could the cable just be bad?

any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

does your monitor have a dvi port? have you tried a different cable

no, the monitor does not have a dvi port, only vga. i dont have another cable to try, i was trying to find out if it was worth buying one to try.
