PSU problem?

some how i don't think it's the power supply....but i also don't have any other insight for you right now
 
I'm with D88 here. I would put money on either RAM, Hard Drive, or a OS corruption before power supply.

If you havn't yet, run memtest. If anything happens here (errors, freezing, shutdown, whatever) we can virtually eliminate the OS and HDD.

I would also run the HDD Manufacturer's diagnostic tools to see what that comes up with.
 
I ran memtest and didn't find any problems and for some reason i couldn't get my HDD error checking program to work so i just used the windows error check and it did find some. Can i let windows fix it or is there a risk it could mess everything up?
