Emergency Help with stupid computer

When i turned on my computer day it was acting strange! Nothing would open, everything had the little loading mouse sign thing and wasnt doign anything. I finally got my intermnet page working.
I got a message somthing about some one could be trying to change my firewall setting or somthing, I forgot
dose anyone know wat could be going on.
Control panel and MSN and alot of other thinsg wont open.
This is really irratating and i would Appreactiate the help ASAP

Have you run your virus scan and spyware scans to find anything? Sounds like sypware or a virus.

yh try running your anti virus / anti spyware but do it in safemode.

also if you can get to a run box then type 'msconfig' and look under the startup tab to see if there is anything unusual there if so untick it and reboot

@ yayarg your sig is only allowed to be 4 lines

over 24000 item scanned, No threats found.......yet
If I disconnect this desktop computer from my internet then connect my internet to my laptop will there be a chance if it is a virus or spywear or watever that it could be sent to my laptop just because of my internet conncetion?
Or can I only get this virus/spywear from going on certain sites or downloading things?

its not very likely that it will spread to your laptop just coz its the same internet connection viruses dnt work like that.
