Yeah, I saw that too. From now on, I'm recommnding Quad Core to everyone. I mean, why would you want 2 cores when you can have 4? It just makes sense for heavy multitaskers and they cost the same, lol. I know I would go that route............

Which would be a better buy, a Q6600(Quad) or E6600(Dual)?

Quad core is best. Twice the efficiency and twice the cache for more processing power despite rated at the same frequency. FOr $70 difference, it's worth it, depends on what you do with your PC.

By the time these quad cores get dirt cheap, 8-core CPUs will be out. Actually, they're coming out possibly late this year, but definitely next year (2008), so get ready for that!!!

I think that's why prices for CPU are coming down because newer CPUs are coming out. New revisions to the "Core" are coming out very soon.

Ya new technology will soon be coming out, they don't just decide to cut prices by more than half because the CEO was feeling nice! They are definatley trying to get rid of the old stuff before releasing the new technology.
