Thanks everyone
I think I may have an idea now, so in the next week or so, I'll probably have a new system in my hands..
I still can't understand the fact that for around £400, I can pick up a system possibly double the speed of this one, yet, for £100 cheaper when I bought this a couple of years back from parts... and just how strange that sounds when I consider mostly what I'll be using it for
Its a shame my 1.2 Athlon Thunderbird machine with an excellent 256mb of RAM, and a Radeon 9800PRO gave up ghost, as that would have ran it fine most likely, and I did have it connected to the TV, but it just won't finish booting anymore. No hard drive activity or anything. It just whirrs.
So yeah, I'm in two minds, weather to try going to a computer fair or something one weekend and trying to pick up a cheaper, less powerful machine, that will run it, so I don't break the bank for something I may not use the full power for, or just go ahead and go for it.
Yep, I love Stepmania
You can get so much for it, that you may as well have an arcade machine in your own room if you have a good enough pad. I have a lovely Cobalt Flux which does the job nicely, but its damn heavy.
I'm starting to be able to pass 11+ foot songs ITG style, yet only recently could pass 10's (Max 300 Expert).
