Well sir, surely enough everyone would want the Quad core extreme but nowadays applications arent wel enough to even handle 2 cores, so that is why most people prefer E6600/6700

No, why the hell would anyone want a QCE now? As you said, it isn't very useful, and not that oveclockable. It is better to get the E6600 and OC it to the level of the 6700.

i would do this: 680i is good, dual 8800gtx will probably be good. but dual core will be btr than quad core right now i think because the cpu might run too fast for ur ram or graphics card, and u should get ddr2 1333 if ur really trying to have the ultimate gaming machine.
