Yeah, it's PC800 RDRAM.

2000 will run fine on 256mb, you could run xp if you wanted but it would be pushing it a bit if you had extra things running aswell.

Yeah, you'd probably want 512MB RAM for XP for decent performance. 2000 should run fine, and a lot more stuff supports it than 98.
