Can this be reduced? 5 minutes is a bit excessive isn't it.

It's 6 minutes isant it, and yes, I agree, it should be 3 minutes, possibly 2 IMO..

We could have a system where you have to have a certain amount of posts, to have the 2 minutes between PM's, to reduce spammers?

300 seconds / 60 seconds in a minute = 5 minutes.

Yeah, this is sort of a problem when you're trying to help someone via PM or something.

Its also the same for reporting a post aswell. If you spot a few different ones, you have to wait before you can report it.

its because of bots apparently. yes it does suck, and yes it is a good security feature. theres no way we can win really. reducing it by a minute or so shouldnt cause too much of a problem though

Well im a member of plenty other forums and they dont have these limits. They tend to be 30 second limits and thats it.

something like 1 or 2 minutes would be good. I don't use pm's that much but if I do it's annoying to wait.

Yep, and it's never been changed, so I guess I'm not really expecting anything.
