Well i bought an athlon opteron 2.0 GHZ for my computer, when i was installing it i was having some issues, so i figured it wasn't compatible with my motherboard. But when i put my old CPU back in it was having the same issues. But i some how fixed them. So i was wondering, since i can't return my new dual core cpu if it will work with my motherboard. I have an Gigabyte socket 939 motherboard. K8U series. Also, would games be workable with it.

And if not, is anyone interested in buying a dual core socket 939 CPU? haha

Yeah, all socket 939 processors should work in socket 939 motherboards...

And it will be fine for gaming.

Its retailed on newegg for 110. So i guess i would sell it between 90 and 100 dollars. Everything included. Paperwork. Heatsink. And i'll even throw in thermal paste if needed.
