Scsi?

Isnt the harddrive one of the main things that hasnt changed much in a computer? And arent there supposed to be much different ones coming out soon? Much better than the spinning platter style?

solid state hard drives i think you might mean and yeah some are already out but they are mega expensive per gigabyte and only for laptops
 
Today's 7200RPM SATAII and SATA could outperform yours, but definately kick the crap out of IDE.

SCSI320 is the fastest that I remember. Actually, my Dual PIII has a SCSI onboard (Adaptec). I should look for a drive now.
 
They sure would,altough my mobo is old so i dont even have any sata ports,so if i did get sata 1 or II,i would have to buy a host card.

That's why consumers don't use it. It's way to expensive to be used for home use.
 
ive got 2 35G raptors in RAID 0. when i first installed them i noticed a differnce in boot times
