Help me find a rare processor.

I'm trying to find a 478 pin pentium 4 3.6 ghz cpu. If I can manage to find something like this it will save me a ton of money.

It's not much of a rare processor at all. Just check eBay.

The fastest CPU I've seen on S478 is a 3.4GHZ Gallatin P4 Extreme Series.

hell yea though dual cores are the way to go now u still should get a cooler for that a bit hot in that case if u dont

There is no 3.6 GHz Socket 478:

You would have to overclock a little to get it.

If I have a pentium(R) 4 3.00 and upgrade to a Pentium 4 3.4 GHz Processor Pin 478 800 FSB, would I see an improvement in computer gaming. Or would it not be worth it?

its not worth it. The difference of 400mhz can only really be seen with a benchmark. It won' make a noticable difference in games, video encoding, or anything else for that matter.
