Never.. ever... Why would they if they can sell a better card for $100, just because of their super-hype. The reason ATi is doing this is because they need the money. There is no reason why nVidia would want to do this.

yeah nvidia is making a 8400GS i think or something like that. really low end. i just want the 8900GS to come out

The whole point of cards like the 2400 Pro and 8400 GS is for those who don't need the power. Not everyone needs a 8800 or HD 2900 you know...

Well, despite these late launches and everything that AMD seems to be having right now, not even in GPU department but Barcelona as well, the once disappointing performance that we got from the 2900 XT is gradually getting better with newer catalyst drivers. I've always been an nVidia guy, but i really want to see ATI succeed this time, don't ask me why.
