Would I see a difference?

Well it is Dual Core, and yours isn't. So I would say yea.

Also in laptops mainly what slows them down are there low rpm harddrvies.

Get a new harddrive that is 7200rpm and that processor and you should be set.

Also laptops are tricky to take apart so becareful!

i really dont think that upgrade is worth the 200$ price tag. you wont see much of a difference gaming and no difference in boot up times. you would be better off saving that 200$ for a whole new laptop or more ram i dont know but 200$ for just the slighest bit of difference is totally pointless

yh IMO id say save your cash and get a desktop coz if u spend like $800 on a laptop you could prob get the same performance in a desktop for like $350 so if its performance your looking for get a desktop but if u desperately need the mobility then yh get a new laptop processor but i wouldnt reccomend it

Isn't that the same processor you already have??

Arctic Silver 5 is good, but you really only need it for overclocking.

Nah i got the core duo.. the one i linked is core 2 duo... but Ill save my cash then and work on a gaming Desktop... thanks for the help

Not much as per the price tag. You are on a system which is equally fast. Stick to and wait for the next versions later you can go for that, as things are updated very fast these days.
