Just Dual booted problem

does it say the vista partion is active?

Paritition 2 (The partition with vista) is primary. Partition 3 (with goddammed XP) is extended.

Still, when I boot up, it only gives XP.

what is partion 1? and is XP extended form partion 1 or 2

1 is unknown, not sure what it is extended from.

Does the Vista drive have a drive letter?
Can you access the Vista drive through my computer?
You could just format your whole hardrive after you back up everything
Or you could format the partition that XP is installed onto...

you have to set the vista partion as the boot partion

How do I do that?

Sorry about all of the questions, this is my first time working with diskpart and dual booting

inside of diskpart type in
select disk 0. then type in select volume 1. then type in active.

i know i didnt know how either i just had to figure it out
