help quick please

just fitted my new mobo cou and ram, when i came to boot, a continuos beep starts and soesnt stop at all throught the boot process, any ideas?

i no its the mobo speaker, because when i unplug it it shuts up, but does anybody know why its beeping

sounds definately liek your RAM try reseating it in the slots ( if you have 2 sticks of RAM) try just putting 1 of them in the slot and then the other just to eliminate them.

Yeah, the RAM. And the speaker is gonna shut up if you remove the cable coz its not connected any more.

yh of course its gonna shut up when u remove the speaker cable coz that means it dont have a speaker to play noise out of n e more.

unless you mean when you remove the speaker cable it boots up fine ?

i didnt mean that why is the speaker shutting up, i just wondered why the ram would make it beep, so what should i do with the ram?

Have you definately inserted it properly, are the clips locked in place?

yes, took it out before and reinserted it.
