Nope it don't. Electromagnetic signals traveling over a wire go as fast as light traveling over a fiber optic cable.
The difference is two fold. Next to infinity bandwidth and no noise on fiber optic cable. On copper wire the bandwidth is severely limited and noisy.
70 bucks a month for what you have is pretty good.
