I plan on getting a 320GB drive sooner or later.
I already have a 160 disk and if I put them in raid, can I still use the remaining 160GB?

I've searched for an answer and can't find a thing about this!

Everything I have seen about RAID says the drives need to be identical sizes. I don't think it will work with a 160 and a 320.

Yeah, raid disks have to be identical in size, so if you want to do raid, you'll have to get another 160gb drive instead of a 320.

This isnt actually correct. But alot of people think it is, you can use different size disks, but you will lose the difference. So it just doesnt make sense to use the 320gb disk in this scenario, because 160gb will be wasted:)

Can you get three disks in? Because if you can just buy two 160s instead of one 320. That way you still have 320, and don't loose the difference.
