Problem with installing ALL downloaded files.

Hmm, it is possible to show in the program uninstaller, updates, but its hard to tell which would have caused it, if any.

Its worth a try, if you'll end up having to run a format anyway...
 
I'm not using Vista, just to make sure of that. Hmm, so everyone suggests a re-format... Hate doing them :( Sure there isn't any other way?

Well, you could try a repair installation of XP and see where that gets you. I don't know if that will work, but at least we have tried something before you are forced to do what you don't like.
 
You could always try the system file checker. Goto a run prompt and type sfc /scannow you need your XP CD for this.
 
Did 2 of those sfc scannow tests, they ran all the way through, then shut down without saying a thing. Guessing that's good. Really don't know what's causing this so I'll put my stuff on my external harddrive and do a reformat tomorrow. :( I'll let you know how it goes.
