Lost tales is actually pretty fascinating. I would LOOOOVE something like that for HP.

I have only read the four, but have heard of the Simarillion just never read it.

It's a difficult read, and not the most exciting, but it's nice to see how Shelob and Saruon came to middle earth, then driven from it only to arrive again. Wow... kinda sounds like HP for a bit there with the "Dark Lord" returning to power.

I have never read them, I really hope to though. THere is another book full of songs, have you ever read it/seen it? Personally I havn't and don't really want to seeing as how I tend to skip those in the normal books.

Yeah umm.. so do I. It's not that they are boring, it is just that there are better things to read about. Lost tales is also a hard read, it isn't very adventurous, but it gives a good background.
