How do I get my new hardrive to work with my new motherboard? I've hooked everything up but nothing comes on the screen. What do I do?

wat u mean your bios dosnt come up?
do u have the power and ide or sata cables in correctly to the
motherboard and hard drive

Yeah, your bios needs to come up in order for you to do anything. When you turn your computer on, do you see anything?

And if you mean nothing at ALL comes up, then the sata or ida cables are not connected properly. Or it can be a number of problems. Did it work before you hooked up your new HDD? Unplug it, and check. If it is a new build, it might be anything, PSU... etc.

make sure if its a new build
your cpu has a cooler on it =P i no it seams stupid
but people can be that stupid
and that all power is connect
oh and the biggest factor of all!
your pc is plugged into a power outlet that works

u do no how to install an os right?
cuz if u don't u probably should not be installing a hd

okay i got bios up now what do i do

check to make sure all the setting in bios are correct, and the boot order to boot from the cd drive to install the OS.

boot menu : example

1st boot = cd drive
2nd boot hd (hard drive)
3rd boot = usb or :A drive
4th boot = none
