I have just finished my 1st build and i dont have any sound output and i need help getting that working. ( motherboard is in sig )

I have heard that with XP the OS dose not always reconize the 2nd core and i was wondering how i could find that out, and or how to fix it.

quickest way to find out if windows sees two cores (or think it does in the Case of a P4 with HT) simply open task manager and click the performance tab. if you see 2 CPU Usage History graphs, windows sees both cores.

Another way to see if its recognising your 2 cores is to goto device manager and click on "computer" near top of list. It should say multiprocessor pc.

If you didn't do so already, install the motherboard chipset drivers that came on the install CD with your motherboard. It should have all the needed drivers for your motherboard and on-board components.
