Yeah, thats what I thought :) Wouldn't have thought it would have had any more circuitary.

£2 man, nothing to lose..

If it doesn't work, meh you'l have to miss out on a pint that day. lol.

Yeah - I think the cheaper one will work. I imagine that the other one would be USB 2.0 - Which is quicker, as a pose to the Cheaper USB 1.1 One - But if your friend hasnt got some kinnda Fiber-Optic Connection - He/She shouldnt notice much of a difference =]

Thanks for all the help :)
Yeah, I may as well buy it, haha.
As for its speed, it says its USB 1 complient. That doesn't mean its limited to 1. Doesn't suggest that anyway

This worked immediately with the disk supplied, and it means not having to open up one's machine to install an ethernet card (ie. it saves using another PCI slot). The details suggest it is USB 1, but in fact I think that means 'compliant': it is a USB 2 device and easily handles the speeds downloaded by my fairly low bandwidth broadband. It looks a bit plasticky, but for the price ...

Didn't think it was LIMITED to USB 1 - If it says usb 1 compliant.. this means it is USB 2 but however it's back compatible..

I may buy one of these..
