Well, according to the Mayans, life as we know it is going to end in 2012...
Maybe that means there will be an era of peace, maybe we're all going to die, who knows.

The Mayans were extremely precise people though, and I'd be highly surprised if December 21, 2012 passed as an ordinary day...their calendar was far more accurate than our current calendar developed by Pope Gregory XIII.

Brookfield made an honest mistake guys, lay off. He obviously just confused spywarebanisher with esa.
And yes, spywarebanisher did do something wrong. He was spamming up the forums with his crap posts to get to the 500 post mark...

I don't believe that about the mayans. Nobody can predict when life is going to end. If there was specific scientific evidence or proof of this I'd probably believe it, but I'm not sure I believe it. I think it's more consipiracy, just like Y2K. the year 2000 came and went with none of the things people were afraid of. Also the human race has changed over time, maybe the mayan calendar was made for humans of the time. I highly doubt life will end. As for an era of peace, as long as George Bush is in office that won't happen! I know in 2012 he won't be, but if the next president is similar to him I'll be scared!

As for the predictions, it's been calculated that it's very possible that something significant could happen on that day. Remember that they didn't predict the world will end that day, but they just predicted life as we know it will end. That doesn't mean we're necessarily going to die.

You know how the north and south poles are shifting, right?? Well, it's been predicted by some scientists that on that day the poles might completely swap, meaning magnetic north would now be magnetic south, and vice versa.

They never predicted anything for sure, just that something significant would happen. They were masters of astronomy, so I believe it.

yeah i have heard that about the poles switchin that would realy fcuk stuff up and yeah they said the end of life as we know it ends so something life changing must happen , hell there could be an asteroid or anything

nah post whore is usuall ysomeone that posts a load of posts just to get their post count up so unless ou are posting to do that you are not a post whore
