Loading DD-WRT Software on to Linksys WRT54GS (Version 6)

I have been reading various sites about how to load the software and the way to do it.

I think I need the mini version of DD-WRT because Im have a version 6 router? If so where can I download it?

Also what is the procedure and steps on how load the firmware successfully, my first time doing this so I dont want to ruin my router?
