I recently obtained a new computer. However, it had spyware, trojans, a bunch of other nasty shit. Since I'm paranoid and don't like having old files hanging around, I create a new administrator account after removing the bad stuff. However, it won't let me delete the old administrator account.

I want to delete the original administrator account.
How do I do this?

Have a look here go Start>>Run type control userpasswords2 click OK

See what users are there and see if you can remove the account.

Well, if it doesn't work, then I'll just use Linux. But I'm sure most of you understand the importance of destroying an administrator account that was recently under control of viruses and trojans: It's just not a good idea to let it live after that; it might turn on ya.

if i ever get a computer that wasnt mine i format first thing as this can assure most viruses are destroyed and all the preivious owners stuff is also rid off
cos even after deleteing the user account some virus infected files could still be on the hd
