Quick format ok?

I finally got a copy of XP and now I can format my bros laptop which has 153 bad stuff on it.

So is it ok to save time by using Quick NTFS format? I know this kinda format doesn't remove the files, just FAT links or whatever. But they won't find it's way back onto the new OS will it?

Yeah, it's fine. I do it all the time. I have never seen any difference between quick and regular

The difference is that a proper format will mark any bad sectors on the drive which prevents them being written to in the future, quick is fine tho.
