How to use the Halo 2 map editor

wait a week or two and google it and someone will have a really nice guide out somewhere maybe someone has one now. i did do a google but most sites refer to xbox halo 2 modding which IMO is really fun if you like pissing people off lol. gets boring after a while though and now instead of 6 hours before your banned its 6 seconds with version 1.5

was that released w/ the beta version of halo 3? never played halo TBH not really into console games

Ok, I think I understand it now, and am disappointed. I was hoping for a sandbox editor like in farcry. Well, what you have to do is create a 3dsmax file to use. the type is .ass and than compile that with lighting. Than from there idk. But I dont know where I can download any .ass files, cause if you search google, you dont get the same type of .ass, specially in google images, lol, jk. Anyway, anyone know where I could download some already made levels? Or an easy way to creat on myself.
