Hi all! Just bought myself a new motherboard, Intel Chipset with ATI CrossFire support - hard to find! Anyway, it is a DFI Infinity 975X/G and I want to put my Pentium D 3.2GHz in it.

Could anyone tell me what I could OC up too? I have decent cooling in my case and want to OC a.s.a.p.

Any help = greatly appreciated!

Regards,
AJ

WOW bro nice setup!!! if u dont mind me aking, did u build it ur self? if not where did u ordered it from? and How much was it?

Sorry i have no answer to ur question

Depends on a lot of things. Which core does it use, Presler or Smithfield?? What kind of RAM do you have for it? What's the specific cooler you're using.

I'd say start at around 3.4 GHz and work your way up from there. The Presler core has been overclocked extremely high, well over 4 GHz!! The Smithfield won't go as high since it uses the 90nm process, not the 65nm process that the Preslers use which generate less heat.

1. I built it myself, cost a good £1500 or so! Will give you the order locations if you want as they were best value locations.

2. Will find out more info regarding, I think it 65, not completely sure.
