yeah you should be able to get back into the bios and even if it fails to boot from the usb hardrive it should just ignor it and begin bootinf from 2nd device then 3rd etc

but if it begins to boot from usb then fails it will restart itself so u will then need to go back into bios and change it

i dnt see u having n e problems i have never heard of a hardrive problem disabling access into the bios so you shud be fine
